Reconstruction and restoration works are currently being actively conducted throughout all the premises of the official residence of the President of Latvia.

The works currently being carried out include internal decoration works and the construction of basic floor structures and flooring. Engineering equipment is also being installed in the forepart of the Castle. Reconstruction and restoration works in the north-western part of the Castle’s forepart are to be completed. Restoration of furniture, wooden parts, decorative elements and representation items, as well as the restoration of decorative elements and paintings of walls and ceilings, columns, railings and cornices continues.
President Andris Bērziņš examined the Riga Castle reconstruction process by visiting the site on 11 February.
Reconstruction works at Riga Castle are performed by the SBRE general partnership, which includes the companies SIA Skonto Būve and SIA RE&RE.
