Works at Engineering Faculty of Rēzekne College Progressing at Significant Pace

At the beginning of this year RE&RE commenced construction of the Engineering Faculty of Rēzekne College, 115 Atbrīvošanas Avenue, Rēzekne. The project shall integrate all the buildings in the surroundings of Rēzekne College into common area and space. Construction works shall be implemented in two stages.

The 1st stage involves construction of par of the building of Engineering Faculty (most part of the lecture-rooms and laboratories, library, administrative premises and technical rooms) and implementation of the area planning solutions – construction of new parking lots for the new building, construction of pedestrian, vehicle and search and rescue routes, and landscaping.

The 2nd stage involves construction of the rest of the lecture-rooms and laboratories of Faculty of Engineering and Economics, assembly hall, refectory, printing house and technical premises. All of the territory shall undergo improvements.

The finish of the building consists of three types of material – high quality glass systems, wood specific to Latgale architecture and concrete. New multi-functional building is built in the heritage site protection area.

Construction design provides for preservation of the nearby trees.

To this day the contractor has performed site mobilization, excavation of construction pit and has commenced concrete casting works. Shortly the construction of external utility networks shall be commenced. The construction object shall be completed on the March, 2014.
