Adazi Centre for Culture Education
Year of commissioning
On 23 April 2010, a newly constructed Adazi Centre for Culture Education was opened in a picturesque place in Adaži, next to River Gauja, by the address: Gauja Street 33a. The project was commissioned by SIA “Gaujas centrs” and constructed by general constructor RE&RE. Project designer is architecture bureau SIA “MODUS – R”.
The modern building accommodates the Centre for Culture and Creative Education of the Adazi region, the Art and Music School, Adaži Regional Council and other organizations. This is the first and so far the only cultural object of this type outside of Riga. It features professionally equipped and functionally adjustable rooms suitable for concerts, plays, exhibitions, conferences and other creative events.
Construction works were commenced at the beginning of 2009. In a joint effort by experienced masters from the RE&RE team and specialists from the UK’s holding company Pilkington the building employs glassed facade technology. This is the first time this technology is used in Baltics. This technology uses glass profiles for bearing construction. This building on the banks of the picturesque Gauja River features two concert halls with advanced acoustics, so that various professional events can be held there.Back to project list
