Reconstruction Works Completed at Cēsis New Castle 20.02.2012

On Friday, February 17 ceremonial event and charity concert marked the completion of construction and reconstruction works performed by the national construction company RE&RE at Cēsis New Castle. The event was attended by Gints Šķenders, Chairman of the Cēsis Municipal Council, Didzis Putniņš, Director General of RE&RE, and Dace Tabūne, Head of Cēsis Museum of History and Arts.

Week of ‘Open Doors’ at RE&RE 09.02.2012

In the week from February 13 to 17 “The Week of Open Doors” will take place all across Latvia. “The Week of Open Doors” is the only project in the State that allows school and university students to take peek into the operation of companies behind the scenes, meet with the management representatives of the companies and examine the actual work and production process, i.e., provides possibilities that usually are not available to the visitors. National construction company RE&RE participates in this project for the 5th year in a row this year providing unique possibility to visit such sites as Zirgu Pasts of Academy of Culture, Riga Cathedral and office of the RE&RE. In Jurmala, 34 Dzintaru Avenue, the real estate developer SIA „Dzintaru 34” and construction company „RE&RE” celebrated the point in time, when the building reaches its highest point – the Ridgepole Celebration. Mock-Up Building of the Latvian National Library 10.01.2012

On January 10 the construction site of the Latvian National Library was visited by its architect Gunārs Birkerts to examine the interior details and room views constructed inside the mock-up building of LNB. Mr. Birkerts is the most productive and prominent Latvian architect, who has elaborated design for many construction and reconstruction projects of public buildings – universities, libraries, museums – in many countries. Today, on December 9, the Ridgepole Celebrations took place at the building extension of Zirgu Pasts – building of Theatre Study Base of Department of Theatre and Audiovisual Arts of Latvian Academy of Culture (LKA).
