Galleria Rīga together with Re&Re celebrates Ridgepole celebrations

On July 14 this year in Riga, Dzirnavu 65 took place the Ridgepole celebrations of the prospective trade centre Galleria Rīga. In honour of this event the festive ceremony was held with participation of Petter Johnsen, Chairman of the Board of Patollo, Ainārs Pauniņš, Chairman of the Board of RE&RE and Arnis Veisbārdis, Director of Galleria Riga.
Galleria Rīga will be located in the block between Dzirnavu, Blaumaņa, Brīvības and Tērbatas streets and will be easily accessible from Dzirnavu Street 65 and Blaumaņa Street 10. Today the first construction stage is concluded and craftsmen are actively working on interior building process.
Galleria Rīga area will be 41 thousand square meters, of which 22,5 sq.m. will comprise commercial area and 29.7 sq.m. will be total commercial area. On two levels under the shop will be day and night parking lot for 150 cars. Galleria Rīga is designed in cooperation with the Architect bureau SIA Poga, Sarma un Norde, but the construction is entrusted to one of the high quality and biggest construction companies RE&RE.
Ainārs Pauniņš, Chairman of the Board of RE&RE confirms, „RE&RE works with great satisfaction on the project that is successfully developing in the very centre of the capital. It is a pleasure to work with the client imposing so high standards on technologies and quality and I am convinced that with common efforts and input we will succeed that Riga city will get one more pearl of architecture, and the inhabitants and guests – an outstanding shopping centre.”
The new shopping centre will surprise their visitors with high quality and interesting interiors – marble floors, timber finishing materials, water fountain and art noveau elements. The escalator and elevators will take the visitors from one floor to another. Interesting design elements will be bridges connecting the floors.
The shopping centre Galleria Rīga will be the place for everyone to go shopping and socialise. To the visitors will be offered the concept allowing consumers to make purchases fast and effective, thus permitting to spend time full of excitement, enjoying shop interiors, shop windows, restaurants, cafeterias and skating – rink, as well as amazing panorama view from the roof top of the shopping centre.
Galleria Rīga will be in easy reach to the guests of the city centre hotels. For example, from the top floors of the Radisson Blu Hotel the outdoor terrace and beautiful glass roof will be seen.
The total investments in the realization of the Project reach 100 millions EURO.

New shopping Centre Galleria Rīga will be placed on seven floors, offering around 200 shops.
Different shops are conceptually grouped - on the first floor there will be RIMI food shop, Italian and Spanish gastronomes, pharmacy and bank branches, as well as first specialized diamond shop in the Baltics.
On the second floor there will be men’s wear and shoes with famous new for Latvia brands - Geox, Alberto Guardini, Viva Maria shoes, as well as exclusive global brands Gaudi and Richetti.
On the third floor the women and children’s wear and shoes will be available. There will be big children’s room, where each child may spend the time while the mother goes shopping. The women brands represented will be: Yukka Paris, Sagaie Paris, Twin Set, Avenue Sonia Rykel, Manetti, Viva Maria, Perspective, Roberto Verino, Hello Kitty, Bastion and Oniks Beta – professional cosmetics for the women and others.
On the forth floor the youth fashion will be available, with brands – Piazza Italia, Cavalli, Collins, among youth very popular Ed Hardy and Playboy, as well as interesting sports concepts – Forward and Forward Hockey – the only specialized hockey equipment store in the Baltics and several other sports shops.
On the fifth floor there will be shops for the whole family and also wide choice of underwear - both our local produce and French produce exclusive collections. On this floor also several Italian clothing brands will be available.
On the sixth floor there will be household goods – several big Italian brands, as well as interesting shops with home design goods, like Otilie home, SIA Home – the first one in Latvia. There will be also Globuss bookstore, Diama – exclusive bed linen and bedroom accessories – and Brabantia – brand from Netherlands, producing household goods, particularly for the kitchens. The Netherlands brand shop will be the first one in the world, branded under Brabantia label. On this floor it will be possible to do shopping as well as take some rest in two beauty salons placed there.
On the last seventh floor restaurants – Chinese, French, Italian and others will be located. There will be also the favourite celebrity restaurant from the USA, surprising the visitors with its charismatic owner, who does not leave indifferent any guest. Even Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor and Victoria Beckham visit this restaurant brand in the USA.
