Executive Director of SIA „RETEX Buve" Austris Celms as a member of Ogre Veterans Team has won a gold medal in mini-football championship for the age group of 45+.

On June 27 and 28 finals of 46th Sports Competition of the Latvian Union of Sports Veterans in mini-football took place in Skriveri. Ogre Veterans Team including Austris Celms has excelled in the age group of 45+, managing in a tight competition to master a title of Champions of Latvia.




On the first day of the finals Team of Ogre District defeated the Riga District Team by 4:2 and Bauska District Team by 3:0, powerfully conquering the place in semi-finals, where the powerful team of Liepaja was waiting for them. Although the core of Liepaja Team is made up of the former players of teams Zvejnieks and Olimpija, Ogre Team managed to defeat the opponents by 4:0 and went on to the finals to compete with the players of Bauska Team once again. In the final Bauska Team demonstrated much better game than in the subgroup match. Result remained 1:1 for a long time, and only five minutes before the end of the basic time of the game Aldis Lieknins scored the ‘golden goal’ granting to the team a title of Champions.

Goals for the Ogre Veteran Team were scored by Aldis Lieknins (5), Pauls Rubins (5), Juris Kacanovskis (1) un Valts Bumanis (1). One more goal for the Ogre team was scored by Liepaja Team player Ainars Linards, directing the ball into his own goal. Besides the aforementioned Ogre Veteran Team is made up of Janis Cirulis, Austris Celms, Aldis Lejins, Vladimirs Paskovics, Vladimirs Burcevs un Anatolijs Taratutins.
